Robert Vogel wurde am Rosenmontag 1961 nicht weit von Mainz entfernt im hessischen Gross-Gerau geboren, was seine Frohnatur erklärt.

Er besuchte mehr als 400 Cons, für die FedCon-DVD bringt er sein Fachwissen mit in die Star-Interviews ein und kennt die Stargate und Andromeda Darsteller gut, da er als erster deutscher Journalist die Dreharbeiten zur erfolgreichen Serie STARGATE SG-1 in Vancouver besuchte. Nach der Veröffentlichung seiner Erlebnisse wurde er von RTL2, 20th CENTURY FOX HOME VIDEO und PARAMOUNT HOME-VIDEO u.a. auch zu den Dreharbeiten von ANDROMEDA und ENTERPRISE eingeladen.

Robert Vogel schreibt als freier Journalist für deutsche und internationale Fachmagazine wie die TV HIGHLIGHTS, MOVIESTAR, FANTASTISCH, SPACE VIEW, MULTIMANIA und ASTRONOMIE HEUTE. Er ist Co-Autor des ANDROMEDA-Sonderbandes. Seine erste Solo-Publikation "HINTER DEN KULISSEN VON STARGATE SG-1" erschien im März 2003.

Trotz seiner grossen Begeisterung für die Fantastik und Astronomie/Raumfahrt hat Robert Vogel auch noch Zeit für andere Interessen: er liebt die Musik der 60er Jahre, geht gerne tanzen und mag die Gesellschaft netter Leute. Seine große Schwäche sind Nudelgerichte.

He attended more than 400 conventions. For the FedCon DVD he brings in his expertise when doing the star interviews and he is well acquainted with the actors of Stargate and Andromeda as he visited the Stargate SG-1 sets during shooting in Vancouver as (the?) first German newsman ever. After publishing his experiences he was invited by RTL2, 20th Century Home Entertainment and Paramount Home-Video to visit the shooting programme of Andromeda and Enterprise.

Robert Vogel writes as a freelancer for the German and international specialized press like TV Highlights, MovieStar, Fantastisch, Space View, Multimania and Astronomy Today and he is co-writer of the Andromeda special edition. His first solo publication "behind the scenes of Stargate SG-1" was released in March 2003.

In face of his huge enthusiasm for the fantastic, astronomy and space travel, Robert Vogel still has plenty of time for other interests: he loves the music of the 60s, likes dancing and seeks the company of nice people. His big weakness are pasta dishes.
